Lesson Specialty: Hitting

Matt, along with Kris Mims was part of the original Brushback coaching staff in 2011.  Helping with infield and hitters, they were part of a 13U team that helped lay the foundation for today's program.

Locally grown, Matt spent his high school days at at Los Altos High School (2000-2003) playing under Sandy Whitol.  After high school Matt moved on to Mission College for a season, then transferred to Colorado to play club ball for the Buffalos from 2006-2009.

After college, Matt spent a season playing semi pro baseball for the Reno Astros.  It was at that time that Matt decided to return home to help give back to the community he grew up playing for.

Having played for Kris during his teenage years, he looked forward to having an opportunity to coach a group of local boys with Kris when he returned back to the bay area in the Winter of 2010.  This would be the beginning of Brushback Baseball Club.

Matt is currently in his 7th season with Brushback Baseball Club, running the 18U program as well as helping with other teams as needed. .

For 2018 Matt joins the coaching staff at Mountain view as an assistant.
